I attend many networking events and have stacks of business cards from lots of great people I’ve met. Perhaps you’ve had the same experience of what to do with all those business cards.
Well, you’ve got to ask yourself why would someone want to keep your business card?
There could be a number of reasons:
You are important.
You are good looking.
You are a potential customer.
You are famous.
If these reasons don’t fit you, does it mean you are doomed?
I don’t think so.

Here are 12 reasons:
- Bright Color – Red, yellow or orange stand out best.
- Simple & Tasteful Design
- Unique Shape - Say goodbye to the boring rectangular shape.
- Cool Graphic – This could be your logo or your face. Do something unique.
- Special Size – It doesn’t have to fit in the wallet.
- Unique Material – Metal, cardboard or even plastic!
- Multiple Purposes – Could it be something else other than a business card?
- Reminiscence - Does it remind them of something else?
- Is it funny?
- Cool Quotes
- Special Add On – Can your product be attached to your card?
- Value Added –Is there a reason I should put your card on my desk or fridge?
BTW – this is one of my favorite designs.
Which is your favorite?
Oh yeah, last but not least, to stand out from the crowd:
- Be a good listener
- Be someone that’s genuinely interested in helping others
