9 Essential Tips to Get the Most Out of Trade Shows, Conferences & Seminars.

You go in and out of trade shows, conferences and seminars. You want to learn. You want to meet people and hopefully get something out of it.

There are hundreds and sometimes thousands of people around you. It is overwhelming and exhausting…Some of you might remember… I used to be really shy. When I first started working in corporate America, I have no idea what I need to do showing up at these events.

What can you do to make sure you get the most out of these events? What can you do to get your money worth?

I want to talk to you about a few tips that work really well for me.

You mentioned that we should write comments on business cards. Does this always hold true? I’ve heard that some cultures view writing on a business card as a disfiguring experience. What do you think?

Beau,

I personally think writing on business card is fine (at least I think American and Asian culture is fine with it, not sure about other culture though).

I think writing on it shows you really care or you have learned something about the person you just met.
