Generic tadalafil is mainly known for its characteristic as a PDE5 inhibitor drug, just like the first of its kind (Viagra or sildenafil).  Generic tadalafil is known by other people via the brand name Cialis, which is indicated for treating erectile dysfunction (ED) or impotence.  Generic tadalafil also comes with another brand name known as Adcirca, and this one is intended for treating pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

Generic tadalafil tablets have 4 different milligram dosages available in the market: 2.5, 5, 10 and 20 mg.  Generic tadalafil tablets are shaped like almonds, colored yellow and are typically film-coated.

For most patients, the usual dose that is recommended by doctors when it comes to taking generic tadalafil is 10 mg.  However, it really depends on the patient’s tolerance and degree of sensitivity to the generic tadalafil drug. For some men, 10 mg of generic tadalafil may be too much for them, which means that 2.5 of generic tadalafil is sufficient enough to help them achieve an erection during sexual intercourse.
